Though it’s great to have tools like Find My Device to help track your phone when it goes missing or stolen, it comes with a number of limitations. One of the drawbacks of using this tool by Google is that Find My Device has to be turned on Beneath each tab, you can find the device model name, the time it was last spotted, the network it’s connected to and remaining battery life. On the left-hand side of the screen, you can see tabs for all the devices connected to your account. If you have the location service enabled the app will track its location by displaying a map with a pin dropped on where the phone is currently located. Find My Device will now start detecting your phone. Once that’s all set, you can start locating your phone by first opening up a browser tab, go to /android/find and log in with your Google account. It has to be made visible on Google Play. The phone should be connected to a secure WiFi or mobile data. You must be signed in to your Google account.
